Rules and Special Notes for Artists
1. The deadline for submission is
Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 4pm. Please email your PDF application to janerom@shaw.ca
2. There is no charge to any participating artist.
3. Artists who sell their works will keep 100% of their sales proceeds.
4. Artists are encouraged to submit one (1) big piece* or two (2) medium pieces
or four (4) small pieces. Depending on the number of artworks submitted, all
works may not be displayed. Artists will be informed of the number of works
accepted.
* Maximum for large size: 40’’X 60’’

5. Artists can drop off their artwork at the Centro Cultural between Thursday,
December 20th and Sunday, December 23rd. If these dates do not work for you,
please contact the Exhibition Committee for alternative arrangements.
6. Please ensure your works are ready to hang or be displayed safely.
Two-dimensional artwork must be framed in a clean and professional manner, with
wires for hanging attached. Please, no damaged frames or mats. Gallery-wrap
thick canvas paintings are acceptable as long as the edges are finished
properly. Work must have artist’s labels attached to the back.
7. Please create your own bio/artist statement, including contact information.

8. The Exhibition Committee will create your title tags as per your submission
and will include the artist's name, title of the artwork, medium and price. If
a piece is not for sale, please mark as NFS.
9. All artists are responsible for the insurance of their artworks.
10. The Exhibition Committee reserves the right to use the image of your artwork
for publicity. Please email us your image(s) to janerom@shaw.ca in JPEG format if you can.
11. Please invite other artists to participate. It would be nice to get local
Mexican artists to participate as well.
