Hello! My name is Daniela Jimenez Rodriguez and I live in Aticama with my parents and my two sisters. Now I am studying Administration of Corporations in the University Autonima of Nayarit located in the City of Tepic.

I chose this career primarily because I like it, and also because it is important to know the work principles, like the basics that one needs to be a good entrepreneur.

I am very appreciative for the support of scholarships that this program gives. It is a tremendous help because many young people cannot study for the lack of resources. Nothing is impossible in this life. To want is to be able. Or if there’s a will, there’s a way.

At first it was difficult to adapt to a city where I knew no one. But little by little I began to believe in the idea that everything is a sacrifice in this life and, “yes” I want to go forward. I have to put forth the effort and conquer the obstacles that present themselves. Because of this I invite all youth to continue to study. It isn’t easy but it isn’t difficult either. With a little effort and dedication everything is possible.

Hello. My name is Elba Janeth Ruvalcaba Esmerio. I am 18 years old and I’m from Aticama, Nayarit, in the Municipality of San Blas. My family has three members, my parents and my brother. There was little possibility for me to continue studying at the University, therefore I give thanks to this university program because the opportunity became available.

In actuality I am studying the program to become a licensed accountant.

My purpose in life is to be an outstanding professional and continue improving in that career. My experience in the city has gone by very fast because in the city there is a great deal of movement and in a village it’s much calmer.

However I like the city a lot because I am adapting to it.

My name is Gissel Elizabeth Rosales Flores and I was born in the Municipality of San Blas, Nayarit. I come from a family of eight (8) people including me. I lived in Tijuana for a few years before returning to live permanently in Aticama with my family.

I am very thankful to have the opportunity to continue my studies after graduation from High School. With the support of my parents and equally important support of the Matanchen Bay Scholarship Fund, I have the chance to study and prepare for a professional career.

I am currently studying at the Technological Institute of Tepic, the best school to study engineering in the entire State of Nayarit. I am pursuing the career of Civil Engineering because I believe it’s the most complete career since it implements design, math, and physics. It can also apply to data processing programs and can be used in working in diverse areas such as environmental applications and accounting. Also, I have chosen this profession because it has many job opportunities in various fields such as topography, metallic structures, hydraulics, highways and bridges among others.

My goal is to successfully conclude my studies, practice my profession and by doing so, help both myself and my family. I believe with dedication, commitment and effort as well as the support of my family and the Scholarship Fund, I will achieve my goal to have a successful career in Civil Engineering

Hello! My name is María Carmina Becerra Santacruz. I am 23 years old. I was born in Tepic on January 26, 1990. I am studying tourism at the Universidad Tecnológica de Nayarit located in Xalisco.

I love to study because I want to improve myself in order to have better employment opportunities and a better quality of life. I want to achieve the goals I have set for myself to do well in my studies, not just to get a degree, but that one day I will be able to make a valuable contribution in the area of tourism.

I am grateful to the scholarship fund that has given me the opportunity to continue with my studies.

My name is Santiago Chávez López. I was born in La Palma, Municipality of San Blas, Nayarit, Mexico on September 4, 1992. I am single and live in Aticama, Nayarit.

For the past few years, I have studied Information and Communication Technology at the Technological University of Nayarit (UT) where I am working on my engineering degree. I also have participated in a graphic design program at the University. I hope to complete my professional training by January 2014 in order to start my career.

I have also worked at different companies such as the Hotel Casa Mañana, Grupo Organico and the Hotel Delfín. Although these jobs were not related to my academic career, I am proud to have worked at these places, as I owe them a lot of credit in strengthening my character.

Concerning the program “Becas Matanchen”, I would like to express my appreciation for all the dedication and effort of the sponsors and giving my fellow scholarship students and me the chance to be somebody in life.
